As a new consortium, we are moving to establish a first-class research organization. Our goal is not only to conduct much needed research on bonefish and tarpon, but also to create an efficient way to share that research with both members of the public and scientific communities.

The BTRC seeks to share existing and new research with everyone. The following organizations share research with us: Bonefish and Tarpon Trust, the University of Miami, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. We would like to help support and acquire more scientific information regarding bonefish and tarpon. With these big ambitions we need a sustainable source of funds on which to draw. As such, we are creating an endowment to serve the needs of bonefish and tarpon management now and in the future.
