The Bonefish and Tarpon Research Center and Bonefish and Tarpon Unlimited announce the Third International Bonefish and Tarpon Symposium.
The Symposium will be held from November 14-16, 2008. The first two days will be spent at the International Game and Fish Association's headquarters in Dania Beach, Fl. For November 16, the meeting will move to the Marriott in Key Largo, FL. The Symposium will serve as a forum for anglers and researchers to meet and discuss their interestest in and concerns about bonefish and tarpon.

- Participating researchers will share science essential to sustaining both bonefish and tarpon recreational fisheries.
- This shared science will help combat the world wide population decline noticed in both bonefish and tarpon fisheries.
- Recreational fishing is crucial to the United States because it represents billions of dollars worth of impacts to economies in the United States.
